Points of Interest:

1. Governor Doyle signed the 2003-05 Biennial Budget on July 24, 2003. I have attached a spreadsheet that indicates the funding for the various programs. Our program funding for 2002-03 was $71,130,600, for the 2003-04 academic year the program funding will be $76,242,600 which is an increase of 7.19%. In academic year 2004-05 total program funding will be at $84,133,900, an increase of 18.28% from 2002-03. The maximum WHEG-UW award has been changed from $1,800 to $2,500.

2. The Wisconsin Tuition Grant Program commit percentage has reached 117.61% as of August 5, 2003. In order to delay or avoid "W" coding or "Wait Listing" applicants for this program, please continue to submit deletes from the notification list for students who will not be attending your institution.

3. Our first voucher for the 2003-04 academic year was processed on Tuesday, August 5th.

1. 2003-04 notification lists and other associated reports are scheduled to run August 12th, 19th, and 26th.

2. 2003-04 award commit and spent for TIP, WHEG, and WTG as of July 29th are as follows:

   TIP Award Commit	=	92.68%	(last year at this time it was 74.08%)
   UW WHEG Award Commit	=	108.93%	(last year at this time it was 101.20%)
   WTC WHEG Award Commit	=	140.27%	(last year at this time it was 122.33%)
   WTG Award Commit	=	115.43%	(last year at this time it was 111.47%)

3. TIP nomination forms are to be sent to John Whitt.

4. File maintenance is being accepted for the following items only:
   Professional Judgement changes
   Special Tuition
   Selective Service changes
   Special Circumstances
   Deletes
   If you have a situation that you believe is a special circumstance, please contact the program coordinator. All other changes must by made by submitting information to the federal processor.

Other Points:

1. The next training sessions will be held:
   September 25, 2003

   The program begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends no later than 3:00 p.m. It is held at the HEAB offices at 131 W. Wilson St, Suite 902, Madison, WI. We have room for up to 6 people at each session.
